Along with world class fishing, Angler Rapids offers additional sightseeing opportunities. A short 15-minute boat ride from the lodge brings you to Nistowiak Falls. The beauty and power of this 50-ft. waterfall is breath-taking and overwhelming. A forty-minute boat ride from the lodge will bring you to the village of Stanley Mission, the settlement that most of our guides call home. This is the site of Saskatchewan's oldest building, the mission's church that was erected in 1856. There is also an abundance of wildlife viewing for the guests, whether it be bald eagles soaring overhead, bears taking an occasional swim, or moose moving from island to island. There is something interesting for all nature lovers.
