Travel to Angler Rapids Wilderness Lodge (LaRonge, Saskatchewan) is available via commercial or private aircraft or automobile. Commercial air travel to Saskatoon is available through Northwest Airlines. Once in Saskatoon, you will board a Transwest Air plane for a short 90 minute flight to LaRonge.
Upon arrival in La Ronge, you will be shuttled to the Lac La Ronge launch site for the scenic 25 minute float plane trip to the camp. Angler Rapids contracts with Transwest Air to provide chartered float plane service from La Ronge to the camp. The workhorse in the Transwest Air float plane fleet is the de Haviland Twin Otter, capable of carrying up to 12 passengers plus luggage.
Transwest Air is a fully licensed and insured regional carrier based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
If you travel by private aircraft, La Ronge is equipped with a 5,000 foot runway.
Remember, all travelers from the United States will pass through customs and should be aware of laws and regulations concerning importation and duty. Proper identification should always be carried, including passport, which is now REQUIRED for air travel into Canada.
